Like everything else, last year's award schedule was thrown off track with postponements and cancellations. We did a little digging to see what is on the docket for 2021 (so far) to be able to have future dates on the calendar to look forward to.
- James Beard Foundation Awards
After cancelling the 2020 awards, this year the foundation plans to host a different type of ceremony. The focus this year is on celebrating leadership in the the independent restaurant community who have positively impacted the industry and their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony, which will be held in Chicago, is currently slated for sometime in May; it will be broadcasted nationwide. - Michelin Guide (US)
While Michelin has begun doling out its stars internationally, the most recent update (from September 2020) confirmed that all four 2021 Michelin Guides for the United States will be delayed, with the expectation that more details will be provided as more of the country's pandemic recovery is understood.
In other Michelin Guide news, the Green Star, the award for sustainability, was recently added and was given to seven California chefs in November 2020.

While not much details are available, according to the official site, the restaurant awards plan to return in 2021, with the event slated to be held in Antwerp, Flanders. - Tales of the Cocktail
The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation is continuing with another year of digital formatting for its annual awards and conference Monday, September 20th to Thursday, September 23rd, 2021. Complimentary access to participate in its programming will be offereed as well as the possiblilty of local activations where it is deemed safe for attendees.
