Advice from Josh Harris

Quotes about career path, skills, and teamwork from an industry leader.
It's about creating a culture of family; there is no guidebook for this sort of thing, but there are several moments throughout my career where I've thought back to people I have worked for, or with, and tried to factor their approach into the decisions for the kind of culture I'm trying to create and maintain.
I believe you can teach most people how to make drinks, but it's the subtle nuances of communication that really set people apart.
It's really important to have pre-meditated and thoughtful programs for your staff's ongoing education and career growth.
In 2008, I was working as a bartender while I was applying for law schools, and that is when I saw cocktail careers being born.
After a conversation with my dad, I knew this is what I was most passionate about and I would make hospitality and beverage my career instead of pursuing my law degree.
I find inspiration in the every day, but not necessarily only through F&B-related things.
All you have to do is open your eyes; seemingly most insignificant things you see can prompt the most inspiration, it's just about walking through the world with that lens on.
